We are helpful with package labels with value insurance, so safety is top notch. The freight is free for repairs for more than DKK 1,000 and always when performing service checks.

BETTER PRICE

Most jewelry and watch shops in Denmark do not have their own workshop, and the watches handed in are therefore sent back and forth between the store and a central watchmaker’s shop. We have simplified the workflow so that your watch is sent directly to the watchmaker. This means the same high standard and quality, but at a better overall price.

ABOUT US

The service workshop is a sole proprietorship located in Copenhagen. It is owned by Frederik Sørensen, who is a teacher from The Danish Watchmaker School in 2008.

It is a top professional workshop with all approved machines and a high standard of hygiene required to service A-brands.

The workshop meets all requirements – eg. from Swatch Group – to a modern watchmaker’s workshop, and only original spare parts are used for servicing.

We are an authorized service workshop for a number of brands. Certina and Tissot. Later in the year we open up even more A-brands, which will be announced here on the page.

Generally

Are service checks performed on all watch labels?

Yes, service checks are generally carried out on all brands. In some cases it may be necessary to change spare parts in connection with a service inspection and these can be difficult to obtain for individual brands and models. However, it is rare that the watch cannot be serviced.

When will I be contacted with a quote?

Expect to be contacted by mail within 2-3 business days after the package has been received.

Is there a guarantee of servicing?

Yes, 1 year warranty is given on all service inspections.

How long does a service check take?

You should expect about 3-4 weeks delivery time. However, it may take longer for spare parts to be obtained from Switzerland or if they are in the back order from the supplier. If so, you will be notified by email.

What is included in a service check?

The following is included in a complete service inspection:
Separation of the work, cleaning, lubrication, assembly, regulation and control of functions and clockwork.

– Cleaning of box and metal sink.
– Pressure test and check of the water resistance of the clock.
– Replacement of worn parts, glass, crowns, springs, push buttons and battery is not included in the complete inspection.

Does it cost anything if I say no thanks to the repair after receiving a quote?

The price offer is always free, and if the repair is not opted out, it does not cost the customer anything – nor the freight price.

Shipping & Security

What does shipping cost?

Freight is basically free. However, for minor repairs under DKK 1,000, you pay DKK 100 in freight each way, ie. DKK 200, if you choose to use our package label with value insurance.

How do I securely pack the watch for shipping?

Pack the watch well in paper, bubble wrap, foam rubber or the like so that it is firmly in the box before shipping. In order to ensure the best possible content of the package, it is sent to a mailbox address. In this way, you avoid separating unnecessarily with the contents of the package by, for example, writing “watchmaker” or the like on it. The workshop is first responsible for the watch on arrival.

What happens if the package gets lost in the mail?

Fortunately, this happens rarely. But to be on the safe side, we send the implements with extra transport insurance, so the customer is properly covered if the accident should be out. With transport insurance you get replaced valuables up to DKK 100,000 per package, while ordinary parcel post is only replaced with up to DKK 4,800 per package.
